Two Burmese women have been sentenced to death in Malaysia for a drugs trafficking offense committed two years ago. Lim Siau Seng, 32, and K. Vigneswaran, 27, burst into tears as the sentence was announced. They were charged with transporting 2012 grams of narcotics comprised of 162 grams of heroin and 50 grams of monoacetylmorphines. Justice Datuk Ghazali Cha concluded that no reasonable doubt had been raised in the pair’s defenses, reported Bernama news agency. Two Malaysian men, Arafy Abu, 30, and Ambiya Mohamad, 40, also received the death penalty for their involvement in the same crime.
