Two bombs exploded in northern Shan State’s Hsenwi township on Tuesday morning. Reports claim the devices exploded within five minutes of each other on a bridge by the town’s gateway. Two more unexploded bombs were later discovered. The bridge, located on the Mandalay-Muse highway, is made of concrete so the explosions caused no significant damage to the structure and traffic was not effected. An explosion at a golf tournament in Tachilek, southern Shan State, at an Armed Forces Day golf tournament claimed one life earlier this week.
