Burmese President Thein Sein visited Thailand’s Laem Chabang deep-sea port in Chonburi Province immediately after touching down in Bangkok on Sunday. Thein Sein and Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra are expected to sign three memorandums of understandings (MoUs) at Government House on Monday to reaffirm economic cooperation on the development of the Dawei deep-sea port in southern Burma and its strategic link with the Thai Eastern Seaboard. The three MoUs are understood to involve technical cooperation, economic development cooperation and energy, reports The Bangkok Post.
