Burmese President Thein Sein met with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on the sidelines of the 10th Asean-China Expo in Nanning, China, on Monday, according to China’s Xinhua news agency. During the meeting, Li stressed the strategic importance of strengthening relations between the two countries against “the background of the complex international and regional situation,” the report said. Burma’s president also said that his country is willing to boost strategic communication and expand reciprocal cooperation so as to promote better development of bilateral ties and Asean-China relations.
