Burma President Thein Sein has said the money currently coming into Burma as it opens up should be used effectively and for the benefit of the people, according to a report from Xinhua. “Grant aid, loans, local investment and foreign direct investment are to be used in implementing sector wide and region wide development projects instead of relying on the state budget only,” the report quoted Thein Sein as telling the Central Committee for Managing International Aid. He said arrangements are being made to make sure natural resources are used properly and that services for the people are improved, Xinhua said.
