State-run Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) says it expects to conclude negotiations with the Burmese government by the end of his year on fixing electricity rates for the Mong Ton and Hutgyi hydropower projects in eastern Shan State and northern Karen State respectively.
EGAT said it is ready to send staff to the project sites to conduct feasibility studies and hopes to finalize the rates this year or early next year.
