Thai police made one arrest and seized a large quantity of methamphetamine and crystal meth near the Thai-Burmese border Thursday, the Bangkok Post reports. Citing local police in the northern Thai town of Chiang Rai, the report said that, after receiving a tip that a large shipment of drugs would be coming over the border, spotted a “suspicious pickup truck.” Police intercepted the truck and discovered 100,000 methamphetamine, or yaba, pills and 2 kilograms of crystal meth hidden on the back seat, the report said .The driver was arrested but other men in the truck escaped, it said.
