Thai luxury car importer TSL Auto Corporation will open a showroom and service center in Rangoon next month, marking its first foray into Burma, The Bangkok Post reports. TSL set up a joint-venture with MK Group of Companies (Myanmar) and own a 40 percent stake in SMRT Myanmar, which will run the US $1.1 million project. “We also have a new high-end car distribution business, but concentration will be put on the car maintenance and body repair service,” said TSL chief executive Sureeporn Udompolpanich. The joint venture is forecast to post revenue of $800,000 per annum and break even within 2-3 years.
