Win Mra, the chairman of Burma’s Human Rights Commission, is holding discussions with the Minister of Education on how the introduce teachings on human rights into school syllabuses, the Australian Associated Press reports. “We all need to know it, so we plan to teach children from primary school onwards,” Win Mra said during a ceremony to launch an official Burmese translation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on Wednesday. About 30,000 copies of the translated document would be distributed among government departments, parliamentarians and schools, he said.
