Opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi has confirmed that she will pay a visit to Australia in December, according to The Age. In addition to attending a UN AIDS conference in Sydney, the National League for Democracy (NLD) chairwoman is expected to visit Melbourne and “one or two other cities” as well. “I would like to come when the weather is fine and it would be nice to have some time to relax there if possible,” she was quoted as saying, adding that the dates of her visit had not yet been finalized.
