Serbian Rodojko Avramovic has been signed to coach Burma’s national football team, the Myanma Freedom Daily reports. Avramovic, who coached Singapore’s national team from 2003-2013, was appointed by the Myanmar Football Federation on Wednesday. He succeeds South Korean Park Sung-hwa, who presided over the national team’s embarrassing exit from the Southeast Asia Games quarterfinal competition in December. Avramovic was signed on a one-and-a-half year contract, which will see him lead the team through the next SEA Games, to be hosted by Singapore. He led the city-state to three AFF Suzuki Cup titles during his tenure there, most recently in 2012.
