Burmese authorities have seized large quantities of heroin and speed pills during raids in territory formerly controlled by suspected drug trafficker Naw Kham, according to Thai military sources cited by The Bangkok Post. More than 600,000 speed pills and 120 bars of heroin were seized and four drug suspects arrested in the raids. Laos arrested Naw Kham in April on suspicion of being linked to the murders of 13 Chinese sailors last October and extradited him to China on May 10. Since his capture, at least 20 other suspected drug dealers in his gang have surrendered to the Burmese authorities.
