A delegation from the National League for Democracy (NLD) has wrapped up a visit to China, the Chinese Embassy in Rangoon reports. The 10-member delegation, visiting China for the first time and invited by China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. flew back to Burma Sunday after traveling to Beijing, Shanghai and Kunming, where they met government officials, lawmakers and civil society leaders, the embassy reported on its Facebook page. The delegation’s trip home was delayed by heavy snow in Kunming, but an NLD spokesman told the embassy that the delegation enjoyed the stopover because they rarely saw snow in Burma.
