Chinese state media say a Chinese man has set off explosives outside the home of his former in-laws in a southern Chinese city, killing seven and injuring 18. The official Xinhua News Agency quoted police as saying the man was seeking revenge following a dispute with his divorced wife over custody of their children. It said the man, who was critically injured, told police he set off the homemade explosives in a car outside the house in the coastal city of Zhanjiang. Xinhua said most of the victims were relatives of the man’s former in-laws. It said five of the injured were in intensive care.—AP
