Malaysian palm oil giant Felda Global Ventures (FGV) Holdings Bhd has joined with a Burmese company to set up a rubber processing plant and look for other opportunities in southern Burma, Malaysia’s the Sun Daily reports. The newspaper said FGV Myanmar was joining with rubber and trading company Pho La Min Trading Co Ltd (PLM). “FGV and PLM will build a modern processing plant in Myeik [in Tenasserim Division] with a target capacity of 24,000 tonnes a year and another plant at Mon State, the development of 30,000ha of greenfield and scout for 10,000ha of brownfield opportunities,” the report said.
