Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida is set to arrive in Bangladesh on Friday for the start of a four-day trip that will also include Burma, reports Xinhua. Japan’s Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that Kishida would hold talks in Dhaka on Saturday with Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali before travelling to Rangoon on Sunday. In Burma, he is expected to meet with his Burmese counterpart, Wunna Maung Lwin, as well as President Thein Sein. According to Japan’s Kyodo News, the focus of discussions in both countries will be “how to promote economic cooperation.”
