Burma and India have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening Burma’s information technology sector, reports the Times of India. The agreement, signed recently by Kyaw Swa Soe, the director general of Burma’s Department of Advanced Science and Technology, and India’s ambassador to Burma, Gautama Mukhopadhya, will provide for more training courses at the India-Myanmar Center for Enhancement of Information Technology Skills, the report said. Under the agreement, the center will also be authorized to issue internationally recognized certificates to trainees.
