International French hotel chain Accor has plans to enter Burma’s fast-growing tourism market by building three hotels in Rangoon, Mandalay and Naypyidaw by 2015, Mizzima reports. The hotels in Rangoon and Mandalay will be established under the Novotell brand, while the hotel in the capital Naypyidaw will be developed under the Accor’s luxury McGallery chain. “We are excited to announce the signing of three new hotels in Myanmar—the first of which will open this year—marking Accor’s return to Myanmar,” said Michael Issenberg, Chairman and CEO for Accor Asia-Pacific. Accor has more than 3,500 hotels across 92 countries.
