Coca-Cola, which organizes a promotional tour of the FIFA World Cup Trophy ahead of the July 2014 football tournament, announced that the trophy will make a stopover in Burma on Dec. 25-27. “In a tour spanning more than 92,000 miles, Coca-Cola and FIFA are taking the iconic FIFA World Cup Trophy to 89 countries,” Coca Cola said in a press release. The firm said it would work with FIFA and the Myanmar Football Federation to bring the cup to Burma, “giving thousands of … locals a chance to get up close to the real solid-gold trophy, the ultimate ode to the glory of football.”
