Leading Buddhist monks from Monywa have decided to postpone an examination on the monastic code of conduct in a show of solidarity with victims of a crackdown on copper mine protests in the area. “As everyone was saddened by the incident, we will not be holding the examination,” Sayadaw Nya Nagga, the monk in charge of the exam committee, told The Irrawaddy.
