China’s Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission Fan Changlong is on two-day official visit to Burma, the Chinese Embassy announced. The visit is part of a tour that will also take him to Thailand and Kazakhstan. In a statement, the embassy said the visit would help “to further consolidate China-Myanmar Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Partnership … and push forward the development of the friendly cooperative ties between the two countries and the two armed forces.” Fan Changlong visited Shwedagon Pagoda on Monday and is meeting Burma’s military Commander-in-Chief Min Aung Hlaing on Tuesday.
