Dr. Lian Hmung Sakhong, a leading member of the Chin National Front (CNF), has returned to his native Chin State for the first time in 20 years. On Monday, he attended a a public consultation organized by the group in Than Tlang, and last week he took part in a similar meeting in the state capital Hakha to discuss democracy, human rights and federalism, according to the Khonumthung news agency. The exiled Burmese ethnic leader who resettled to Sweden also attended a seminar in Rangoon last month organized by Myanmar Egress and the Peace Research Institute Oslo.
