A man believed to be the tallest man in Burma will undergo surgery in Singapore for a pituitary gland tumor that caused his body to produce excessive growth hormones, AFP reported Thursday. Win Zaw Oo—who is 233 cm (7’8”)tall, towering above the average Burmese man of 168 cm—flew to Singapore because the surgery was too advanced for Burma’s health care system. “I have only seen a toy plane before, so I feel a bit worried about having to fly. But if it is for my health, I must do it,” the 36-year-old from Magwe Division told AFP.
