Burma is expected to become a member of the South East Asia Parties Against Corruption (SEA-PAC) following an upcoming meeting of signatory states to be held in Laos, reports Eleven Media. Burma, which routinely ranks near the bottom of international indexes measuring corruption, will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that binds new members to cooperate in combating and preventing corruption cases in the region. After signing the MoU, Burma will be required to exchange information about money laundering and anti-corruption methods with other regional state members.
