Irish pop singer Bono and Aung San Suu Kyi will share a stage when the Burmese opposition leader attends a special concert in her honor in Dublin next month. Amnesty International organized the June 18 event to give Suu Kyi its prestigious Ambassador of Conscience award. Bono’s band, U2, which actively campaigned on behalf of Suu Kyi during her years under house arrest, is not expected to perform at the concert. Suu Kyi will stay in Dublin for less than a day after flying in from Norway, according to Ireland’s Independent newspaper.
