The Arakan State government has declined to share the details of its long-term plan for their state with a visiting European Union delegation, Mizzima reports. EU Ambassador to Burma Roland Kobia visited Sittwe last week, but was told by state officials that their plans for handling the Arakan crisis would remain under wraps. “The number of refugees is increasing and the conflicts keep arising, and they asked what programs we have prepared to deal with these problems,” State Minister of Construction Hla Han said. “The [Arakan] government has a long-term plan but we cannot yet tell them what it is,” he said.
