Burma plans to privatize at least 26 more state-owned enterprises, according to local media reports. The enterprises, currently operated by the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, will be auctioned off, leased or set up as joint-venture projects, the ministry was quoted by the Myanmar Post Global News as saying. All are related to animal husbandry, dairy products and fisheries, the report said. Meanwhile, there area also plans to sell office buildings in Rangoon previously occupied by ministries that have relocated to Naypyidaw, according to China’s Xinhua news agency.
