Burma will soon have 7-Eleven convenience stores, according to a report by the Bangkok-based newspaper The Nation. The Japanese-owned company is working with a local partner, Zaygabar Co, to to bring the international chain to Burma, the newspaper said, citing a report by the Eleven Media Group, based in Rangoon. “They already met in Thailand to discuss the matter,” said a source citedin the report. “The [Zaygabar] company is trying its best to establish the stores within this year,” the sources said. There are more than 40,000 7-Eleven stores worldwide, with some 45,000 staff.
