Ahead of Halloween, The Irrawaddy lists some spooky highlights for the coming week.
Fuse Halloween
Nightclub Fuse on the fourth floor of Myanmar Plaza will host a Halloween Special on Friday and Saturday night to be presented by Kirin Ichiban Myanmar. Friday will have the “Haunted Geisha House” and Saturday night will be a special costume party. DJ Suyano, Phunk will perform along with guests DJ Hane, Ester, P4 and Skimm.
It costs 10,000 kyats on the door and table reservations can be made with more details on the Fuse Facebook page.

Myanfest
Myanmar Beer presents Myanfest Friday and Saturday at the Thuwunnabhumi Event Park with plenty of entertainment, music, food vendors and beer. The two-day event costs 9,000 kyats at the entrance.

Rising Talents
Playing Friday are Catch De White Dove, the Apple Jack, Papillons the Band, Otto, the Past Calling and A Reason for Being at the Parasol restaurant and bar on the Pyay Road, Sanchaung Township, inside the French Institute. The gig runs from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. and entry is free.
Wonder Festival
The Wonder Festival has mini concerts, an outdoor cinema, games, food stalls and a play zone from Oct. 31 to Nov. 3 at the Thuwunnabhumi Event Park. There will be a giant Halloween costume party and contest and a dance contest. Singer Sai Sai Kham Leng, Ar-T and other stars will be performing with K Pop stars.
