Myanmar junta airstrikes have reportedly killed at least 53 civilians and injured around 80 others in 10 days.
Fighter jets, Y12 airplanes, helicopters and motorized paragliders have conducted at least 35 attacks on targets, including schools, displacement camps, hospitals and religious sites, from February 10 to 19.
Airstrikes were reported in Magwe, Sagaing, Mandalay and Tanintharyi regions and Rakhine, Kachin, Shan, Mon and Karenni (Kayah) states.
The Ta’ang National Liberation Army reported an airstrike on Wednesday night on housing and a public hospital in Nawnghkio. The northern Shan State town is controlled by the armed group.
The airstrikes killed three civilians and injured four others, the TNLA said.
This week, the TNLA abandoned Chinese-brokered peace talks in Kunming, Yunnan Province.
The armed group warned residents to be alert to airstrikes as the regime is targeting civilians despite the lack of clashes on the ground.
Last Saturday, a Harbin Y12 airplane dropped 38 bombs on a Nawnghkio Township village, the TNLA said.
Around 20 bombs were reportedly dropped on the TNLA-held ruby town of Mogoke in northern Mandalay Region on February 10, killing five civilians and injuring 19 others.
Junta warplanes bombed at least three villages in Momauk Township, Kachin State, on Wednesday, killing a family of seven and injuring five others, according to media reports.
Three civilians were killed on Tuesday by junta airstrikes in Bhamo Township, Kachin State, where fighting is taking place with the Kachin Independence Army and its allies.

A junta paramotor bombed Chaung Ma village in Kani Township, Sagaing Region, on Tuesday, killing five civilians, including a child, according to resistance groups.
An Irrawaddy study found that the junta conducted airstrikes on civilian targets in 40 townships in January, killing at least 170 people.
Nyan Lynn Thit Analytica reported that by August last year, the regime carried out at least 3,292 airstrikes, killing around 1,749 people.
