TOKYO—Organizers of next month’s Tokyo Marathon are considering reducing the number of general participants in the largest marathon in Asia amid coronavirus fears, sources familiar with the matter said Monday.
According to sources, organizers of the March 1 race said they would take action to further limit the spread of the contagious, pneumonia-causing virus, which has been named COVID-19 and declared a global emergency by the World Health Organization.
