Norwegian energy company Statoil is considering exploring Burma’s oil and gas resources, and company delegations recently visited the country to look into the business opportunities, the Norway Post said on Wednesday. It translated the news from Norwegian daily Dagens Næringsliv. Statoil representatives met with Burma’s exploration and production company MRPL E&P, the country’s largest private oil company, this month, according to MRPL’s owner Michael Moe Myint.
