A new “Global Rohingya Center” (GRC) has opened at the headquarters of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to highlight the plight of Muslims in Burma’s Arakan State. According to a report by the UAE-based Gulf Today, the center opened on March 25. The report said that the center’s stall at this week’s Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition attracted “a swarm of visitors.” The GRC was formed late last year in the Netherlands in the presence of 57 OIC member states and some non-Muslim countries, the report adds.
