A bomb exploded near the site of Burma’s Vice-President Sai Mauk Kham’s new house in Muse in northern Shan State while four other bombs went off around the town on Sunday morning at around 10 am. No one was reported injured and the vice-president was in Naypyidaw at the time. Residents said that the Burmese authorities were quick to point the finger at the Kachin Independence Organization, which is engaged in a conflict with government troops in the Sino-Burmese border area.
